Summer Consultants Awarded NAVFAC Washington MEP IDIQ Contract
Summer Consultants was awarded a $30 million IDIQ contract for Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and Fire Protection (MEP and FP) Engineering Services by Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) Washington. Services to be provided under the contract include design for major repairs, renovations, alterations, and new construction of facilities; preparation of Requests for Proposals (RFPs); space planning; technical reports and studies, and commissioning. Projects will primarily be located within the NAVFAC Washington Area of Responsibility including Virginia, Maryland, and Washington, DC.

Summer Consultants is a small business specializing in the design of DoD, federal, higher education, institutional, and historic facilities. The firm completed projects at numerous sites under the previous NAVFAC Washington contract including Washington Navy Yard, Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, and Naval Research Laboratory in Washington, DC; Naval Support Facility Carderock, Naval Support Facility Indian Head, Naval Air Station Patuxent River, US Naval Academy, Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences and Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Maryland; Naval Support Facility Dahlgren, and Marine Corps Base Quantico in Virginia; and Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point in North Carolina.
