Jim Hoffman Elected ACEC Vice Chair

Summer Consultants, Inc. announces the election of Jim Hoffman, PE, LEED AP O+M, CEM as a Vice Chair of the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) earlier this year, and is serving as a member of the association’s Executive Council as the Mid-Atlantic Region Vice Chair for a two-year term. Since his election, he has been hard at work supporting ACEC’s mission and communicating engineering value at industry events and meetings across the Mid-Atlantic region and country. Mr. Hoffman is President of Summer Consultants.

“I am honored to have been elected to this position with ACEC,” stated Mr. Hoffman. “I have enjoyed connecting with ACEC members in seven events in the Mid-Atlantic region since May, learning about the goals and concerns of member organizations, and representing ACEC as part of my activities. I look forward to helping advance opportunities, to the best of my abilities, for member firms.”

Representing thousands of companies, the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) is the business voice of the engineering industry in Washington, DC and throughout the nation. With roots dating back more than 100 years, ACEC is a federation of 51 state and regional councils representing more than 600,000 engineers, architects, land surveyors and other specialists. Their primary mission is to strengthen the business environment for member firms through government advocacy, political action, and business education.

Mr. Hoffman has worked with ACEC for more than 10 years. He served as Chair of the ACEC Federal Agencies & Procurement Advocacy Committee and as a member of the ACEC Small Firm Coalition Executive Committee. He is a Past Chair of ACEC Metropolitan Washington.
