Madison Lee

Fire Protection Designer

An avid viewer of true crime shows, Madison began studying criminal justice. It was at college that she discovered engineering and how it encompassed her favorite subjects of math and problem solving. She began taking additional engineering classes and graduated with degrees in both fire protection engineering and criminal justice. As a fire protection designer, her work includes the survey, evaluation and design of fire suppression and fire alarm systems for a variety of building types. She is also experienced in the completion of hydraulic calculations to analyze the water supply to a system. She is excited to continue building her engineering knowledge as she works to pass her FE and PE exams and eventually be able to take on more project responsibilities.

What is the coolest project you have worked on at SCI (so far) and why?

The coolest project I have worked on so far is for an existing building that is getting an addition and requires fire alarm and fire suppression work. I say it’s the coolest because I did a lot of work for the demolition and new work drawings, as well as the hydraulic calculations. It was really the first time a project felt like my own.
