Summer Consultants provided mechanical and electrical engineering design services as part of a design-build renovation project. The reconfiguration provides a new collaboration area, presentation area and storage space. Renovations included new walls, ceilings, doors, and flooring as well as new paint.
Mechanical improvements included a new dedicated outside air system (DOAS) to provide ventilation air to address humidity issues. Additional renovations included modifications to the existing ductwork to accommodate the new system. The new direct digital controls were integrated with the existing BACnet controls system. Electrical renovations included the provision of power for the new DOAS system and new electrical receptacles in the renovated areas. Lighting fixtures were also reconfigured in several areas to support the renovations.
