My Experience as a Summer Intern: Mechanical Engineering

My experience at Summer Consultants over these last 3 months has been very enlightening for me in terms of skills and professionalism.

I began my internship working on two barracks buildings at a military base in Maryland. The scope was to remove the existing HVAC system and replace it with a fan coil unit (FCU) and dedicated outdoor air system (DOAS) air handling unit system. I was the primary drafter for the CAD designs and got to visit both buildings on surveys.

This experience has exposed me to a lot of new information in the field of engineering, and I have gained a lot of valuable experience working on these projects.
