Summer Consultants provided mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection engineering services for the design of a new addition to the Leland Little Auction House. The new facility includes an auction hall, exhibition space, offices, a café, and warehouse.
HVAC systems included direct expansion (DX) heat pumps with energy recovery, ductless mini-split air conditioners, and direct digital controls. Plumbing design included an electric hot water heater; piping, and plumbing fixtures.
The new 120/208V electrical distribution system included a 600A switchboard and power and data receptacles throughout the building. The lighting includes new LED fixtures with lighting controls, and the telecommunications infrastructure was relocated to a new LAN room.
A new wet-pipe fire suppression system and a fire alarm system were also provided for the building.
