Summer Consultants designed the power and controls for the exhibit lighting for the final phase of the addition to the National Museum of the Marine Corps. All exhibit lighting throughout the 115,000 SF building addition ties into the existing lighting control system. The lighting control design provides two new DMX control servers, each with an uninterruptable power supply, a DMX gateway, splitters, and translators.
The 120,000 SF National Museum of the Marine Corps opened in November 2006 with exhibit galleries of the Marine Corps’ involvement in conflicts defining American history from the Revolutionary War through Vietnam. This final phase of the museum includes exhibit galleries of Marine Corps history since Vietnam to the present, an Art Gallery and Children’s Area.
