HVAC and Energy Study

U.S. Army Corps of Engineers

A study was prepared for the largest Department of Defense logistics combat support agency. The DLA provides worldwide logistics support, in both peacetime and wartime, to the military services and to several civilian agencies and foreign countries. The McNamara Headquarters Complex includes the 1.12 million SF headquarters building.

The goal of the study was to develop programs over the next seven years to address repair and maintenance requirements, as well as modernize and modify building systems to improve the energy performance of the complex.

The energy conserving measures considered in the study will allow a 30% energy use reduction for the campus. These results will be used to develop recommendations to meet current and future mission needs, including energy conservation mandates, Executive Orders, and regulations.
